A new team forms! (Umi Hakumei and Tatsu)

After arriving at Chokujou City, Mei decided to hang around the book store to see what they had. Luckily, since no one she knew from back home came to this City, she could never be seen by them in such a place. As she begins to look around the book store, she discovers that their books aren’t the best in her eyes, so she quickly leaves the place and continues to walk through the shopping district. “Hmm… What to do what to do.” Unlike most days, Mei’s clothing was actually stainless, since she just finished washing it 2 hours ago at a small pond. The clothing wasn’t the freshest, but it was certainly clean.

“Hey lady, come try some food here!” A man suddenly yells at her, pointing at the restaurant he probably worked at. Mei’s eyes widen when he mentions food, causing her to jump up and down happily. “Wait…that restaurant looks awfully expensive…” As she says this the man just grabs her arms, dragging her to the restaurant against her will. “We’ve been empty for weeks, so you’re going to go and eat there and you’re going to like it!”

Mei begins to scream as she felt his finger nails dig into her noodle arm, making her grow a bit mad. “Let. GO!” Her right foot then stomps on the ground, causing a rift to form under the man that was 3 feet deep. As soon as his thin fingers release her arm, Mei begins to run away from him, zooming forward as fast as she could. “Damn, I wish I was an air bender at times…” Was the only thing she mumbles as she continues to run forward, hating the fact that she was pretty slow. As she continued to run, someone came over and stepped in front of her, causing her to lose control and bump into them.

Umi was walking around the city, recovering from an event in the park. The air city was so much different from the northern water tribe. Umi sighed, half longing to pull our some water from her water-skin and start bending, but didn't want to attract any stares. She was wearing her black outfit, as usual. It was not nearly as hot as it might look to wear. She wore a rather unusual outfit, that was fairly close and form-fitting, outlining her curves in what some might call a flattering way. Once it got passed it hips it transitioned into an odd dress of sorts. It was long enough to reach her mid shins, and featured 2 parts, each separate from another. Usually one might not notice until she moved too fast, or some such. Once she began to run however, the dress separated more and one could see the black matching pants she wore underneath. It was a clever design and the clothes were a gift from her mother. She wore a blue belt and black belts, as well as a pair of black gloves. She had a white mask which she wasn't wearing now. No need to keep her face warm here. Her dark blue hair was braided into a single whip-like braid, that ended just below her waist. Along her belt and her left side was a white-blue water-skin for her bending. It wasn't very big, only holding 3 gallons. But for now, it would have to do. The city was so much unlike her home. Back in the northern water tribe the city was carved by benders from a glacier, everything was made of very compacted and strong ice. Everything was white and blue there. Here, there was green, brown, reds, the city was far more colorful than she was used to.

Umi was lost in her own little word when she heard a scream. “Let. GO!” What was going on? She ran towards the scream. But just as she rounded the corner, she was slammed into by another girl. Fearing something was wrong, she popped the like of her water-skin and began to bend out some water, looking around warily. "Are you okay?" Umi turned her blue eyes, stopping for a second on a man not far away. mass of water flowing around fairly aimlessly as she moved her hand, not putting the water away just in case.

Tatsu rubbed his eyes as he looked up at the baby sky bison that was laying on his stomach, the two of them had been napping together in the market district atop one of the roofs, however they were both awaken by a loud yell followed by some commotion below. The baby sky Bison hopped off of Tatsu's stomach and licked his face to fully wake him up. "Yeah yeah im getting up" he said laughing as he wiped slobber off of his cheek with his forearm. The boy stood up wearing loose white pants and no shirt, revealing his toned body, it was nothing compared to most earth benders but it was better than most of the air benders in the city. His metal necklace shined, it as a series of small metal chains with the symbol for air that hung over his chest. Tatsu twirled his staff and looked over the edge to see what was going on. All he saw was a girl on the floor and a girl who seemed to be a water bender with a blob of water out. He could tell she was definitely not from around here due to the clothing she had warn. To him it had seemed like she was starting trouble, "stay up here BB" he said to his little friend as he jumped down in front of the girl a cloud of dust rising from the landing. "What are you doing?" he asked looking at her and holding his stick loose but ready.

Mei looks up at the two with a frown, looking at the waterbender mostly. Her stare slowly turns into a glare as she realizes was happened. "I was trying to get away from someone before you came here and ruined everything!" She says angrily, standing up just cross her arms like a 5 year old child. Her messy ponytail swayed in the wind as she spoke to the water bender, hitting her back lightly every once in a while because she was moving her body as well. Her eyes were full of anger at the moment, shooting daggers over at the waterbender.

After finishing her long cold stare, she begins to giggle, cracking a smile. "I'm sorry! I just can't stay mad at someone for too long!" The way she acted, looked, and sounded resembled a small child, which usually makes people laugh or get annoyed. This was why she had a few friends her age. "Anyways, I'm Mei Shen! I'm an Earthbender who just wants to become the greatest earthbender ever!"

Umi heard a muffled landing as another person appeared in front of her. He had a bare chest but wore some kind of metallic amulet of sorts, featuring the air nations sign. Based on the staff and symbol, he was obviously an airbender. "What are you doing?" Umi thought for a second, debating what to say incase he thought she was the one trying to hurt the girl. "I just heard a scream and came here to help." But unfortunately that was all she could say because apparently the girl was angry. "I was trying to get away from someone before you came here and ruined everything!" Umi made a pacifying gesture, trying to think of what to say. Part of Umi was irritated, but she shoved that part down. "I was just...." but before she could say anything else apparently the girls temper passed. "I'm sorry! I just can't stay mad at someone for too long!"" At first the behavior took Umi off guard, but then, after a second, it fit in perfectly with her clothes and appearance. Umi though she kind of liked the effect, it made her look cute. A guy would probably not be able to pull off such behavior without looking just plain weird, but for some reason Umi just found it endearing. "Well, hello Mei Shen. I am Umi Okeru Hakumei, or, just Umi." Umi put on a small smile and put her water back in her water-skin. "I am just traveling around the world, my bending kinda stinks right now, so I hope some traveling and training might help. You know what they say 'A hundred miles of road will teach you more about yourself than a thousand years of quiet introspection.'" Umi smiled a bit, and adjusted her face, looking expectantly at the airbender. In the process her hair caught on her resting hand and she began fiddling with it absentmindedly.

The situation had gone from serious to weird, very fast, but at least it was safe. He let his guard down as soon as the water bender had put her water away and the girl was up and safe. He listened to their banter and couldn't help but give a chuckle. He smiled a bit seeing as how one of them were benders, a thought then entered his mind. "Hey how about i show you two around the city? Im a bender as well, we could even train together if you so wish" he offered looking at both the girls. It would be interesting to see the way this girl used her water bending against his air, getting to hang out with two girls was just a bonus.

Mei smiles as the waterbender talks, nodding her head furiously. Her attention soon turned over to the young airbender who wore no shirt what so ever. "Hey how about i show you two around the city? Im a bender as well, we could even train together if you so wish" were his words as he stared at both girls. Mei just shrugs, putting her arms behind her head while smiling. "I was planing to go and eat somewhere the workers don't force you to come inside." A chuckle leaves her lips right after she says this, finding her own words funny. "But sure! I would love to see the town...how about you Umi?"

Of course most people would ask the airbender to at least state their name, or just walk away from this stranger, but Mei wasn't one to automatically think of someone as a criminal trying to kill her. During the silence, waiting for Umi to decide, Mei just begins to let her thoughts take control, daydreaming about jumping into a pile of noodles. As she day dreamed about this, her smile only widen, glimmering under the bright sun above them, which was smiling upon them.

"Hey how about i show you two around the city? Im a bender as well, we could even train together if you so wish" Umi considered that. She would be lost either way, she had never been to the city before now and had only been there a very short time. She had just gotten off the airship an hour or two ago. Already she had been lost the entire time. and what else was she to do. Besides, she had never really met an earth, nor an air, bender before. This promised to be quite fun. "I was planing to go and eat somewhere the workers don't force you to come inside." Well, that filled in all the boxes. Hence the angry looking man she had observed and her screaming. "Wow, what an intriguing new business style, instead of advertising, just drag customers in against their will. How ethical." Umi considered the situation, then disregarded it. Mei seemed to have gotten over it fairly fast. "But sure! I would love to see the town...how about you Umi?" The offer sounded good. "Sure to either, I just got off an airship an hour or two ago, and have been lost the whole time. As for training, that is fine too, just know my waterbending is rather shaky, I have just set out to learn it. Though I might learn better away from home." Umi wondered how much of a fight she could put up. She didn't know these people. For all she knew they could be great benders, or even masters. How would she know?

Tatsu rubbed the back of his head , these two seemed very interesting, he hopefully they could put up a fight. "Alright then just follow me" he said as he began to walk away expecting them to follow, he would then lead them to the air ball court.
