About You!
Personality: Kenta is an kind and thoughtful yet enigmatic young man with somewhat of an eccentric side to him. Initially, he can come off as a very kind and gentle soul once you get past his anti-social exterior and awkward social moments. He enjoys helping others but often has a very difficult time putting forth effort or show motivation with most of the things he does which means that he is rather selfish and lazy.
Despite his numerous social failings and clumsy mistakes that are usually brought on by his laid back nature, when he is motivated to do something then his personality changes almost drastically. He becomes a somewhat aggressive and determined man who is so obstinate that he will not stop until the job is done. He's a little cocky too but not arrogant and sometimes he can be a bit of a downer as well. One of the reasons why his ultimate goal is become something that some would deem to be impossible. A man who can balance both perfect humility and great confidence. He is looking to greatly improve upon himself in every way imaginable.
Likes: Kenta is not a very difficult guy to please. His personality makes him somewhat prone to enjoy anything once he gives it a very good try. Some of the more noticeable things he enjoys is physical training, long evening walks and simple serenity. He also has a insane craving for Takoyaki.
Dislikes: Kenta also has his fair share of things he does not exactly like. Arguments and his own social anxiety being two of the greatest. He also can't stand egotistical and arrogant individuals who would rather was their hands of conflict rather then dirty them. Another thing he dislikes is being talked down upon or being underestimated by his peers and companions. True strength dosen't just come from the body after all.
History: Born to a family of arrogant Water Bending bandits, Kenta was abandoned when he was eight years old becomes he had no talent in Water Bending whatsoever and left to fend for himself in the streets at a very early age. Vowing to never follow in his family’s footsteps because they abandoned him, Kenta often found himself a beggar in the outskirts of the Southern water tribe. Since he was so small, he often did get a few coins that he would save up for food as well as blanket for the extra cold nights.
One fateful night, kidnappers for the rich and powerful were aiming to kidnap young children on the streets of the southern water tribe and the first one they spotted was Kenta himself. Initially, Kenta tried to run but the speed of these kidnappers was far more daunting then he originally thought. He would have been caught that day if it wasn't for a travelling Earth Bender by the name of Akimoto Maede who single handling thwarted the kidnappers plans and sent them running with her skills in both Earth and Metal bending.
Inspired by Akimoto’s talent as well as being drawn to the female enigma, Kenta took it upon himself to follow her out of the Southern Water Tribe like a lost dog which was much to her disapproval but as the years pass, Akimoto found herself enjoying Kenta’s company and even saw him as her own son. So she took on a role as a mother the best way she could and cared for Kenta until he was fifteen.
It was then; she began teaching him the art of Earth Bending after he told her of his family. She too, was abandoned as a child but always had to fend for herself in her own tough life which sparked her interest in being Kenta’s mother and even gave him her last name to make it official. Kenta loved Akimoto and enjoyed their time spent together but like all good things, they must come to an end sooner than later. Akimoto had caught a cancerous disease that seemed to destroying her lungs over time. Knowing that her death was almost inevitable, she passed on a few life lessons and survival tips to Kenta when he was seventeen along with a lesson that he must learn in order to survive in this tough world.

In the dead of night, tears rolled down his eyes and he clenched his fist upon looking down at his mother who was moments away from death’s door. “...You can’t just leave me mother. You can’t leave me all alone like this! What will I....” Akimoto used her left hand to slowly reach up for Kenta who eagerly grabbed hold of her hand while getting on to both knees and tend to the woman who changed his life for the better.
He leaned closer to hear her words since the disease inflicted upon her made it difficult for her to speak at all. “...Kenta... I’m glad.... I got to be your mother but...” Kenta placed her hand on his left cheek. “...I have to go but before I leave....Yo-” She coughed a little before she spoke again in a hoarse whisper. “..You must learn to take the initiative... to know what needs to be and do it without question....” Kenta grasped her hand tightly and nodded his head once. “...That is what will make you a true man and a true warrior...” With those final words, she closed her eyes and her hand went limp. Kenta lowered his head before he raised it again in an act of pure sorrow.
“RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!”
He gently placed her hand beside her dead body and stood up while wiping his tears away with his right forearm. “I will not disappoint you mother.” He mused before he knelled back down to carry his mother’s body. He walked out of the large tent and made his way to the burial ground that he was told to dig up earlier today. He placed Akimoto’s body inside of the grave and picked up the shovel that was lying beside it. “I will not disappoint you mother. I will become a true warrior! For you and you alone!” He thought before he finished burying his mother and placed a bundle of tulips on top of it in the middle of the forest. He then gazed up at the sky and walked back into his tent so he may begin packing his stuff so he could travel to the Earth Kingdom alone.
