| Name: (Insert Name Here) Type: Combat/Mount Rank: Novice Element: Air Species: Sky Bison Description: Flying bison have five stomachs, flat manatee-like tails, brown eyes, shaggy white fur, and a brown stripe that runs along their back from tail-tip to forehead, where it terminates in an arrowhead. They have six legs with three toes on each foot. As they are primarily herbivores, flying bison have flat teeth shaped like peanuts, which are spread out on the roof and bottom of the mouth in groups of ten. A fully-grown flying bison can easily weigh ten tons. They are revered by the Air Nomads for inspiring the art of airbending; the tattoos of an airbending master deliberately imitate the arrow-shaped markings of the bison. The species Aang rediscovered after the Hundred Year War has a slightly different fur pattern with multiple brown stripes running down their backs, as well as brown ears instead of white. Special Characteristics: - Air Bending:
The sky bison are natural airbenders, using their ability to control air to fly and defend themselves. It is from them that early airbenders learned how to properly airbend. Abilities: - Powered Flight:
Sky Bison are one of the few animals capable not only of powered flight, but also able to carry passengers. A single, adult sky bison can carry up to 6 passengers or 1000lbs of cargo (excluding the pilot) at any given time.
